We are thrilled to announce Corey Lee, owner of two The Peach Cobbler Factory franchise units in North Texas, as the recipient of the 2025 Start.Pivot.Grow. Impact Fund Grant! Corey, a proud Grand Prairie native, first stepped into entrepreneurship in 2022 when he launched his first franchise unit. Fueled by his passion for business and community, he successfully opened a second location in 2024, solidifying his presence in the local food scene.
As the winner of this year’s $5,000 Start.Pivot.Grow. Impact Fund grant—sponsored by Integrality, Dallas College Foundation, and The UPS Foundation—Corey is gaining vital support to strengthen his business operations.
"Opening up a storefront business is very hard and demanding. If you are lucky enough to get assistance from a great program, consider it a blessing. This blessing will help us pay off some equipment, which will help cut down on monthly expenses," states Corey Lee, owner of MC Daze, LLC.
The Start.Pivot.Grow. program, launched in 2020 by serial entrepreneur and investor Cynthia Nevels in partnership with Dallas College, is dedicated to empowering retail entrepreneurs, e-commerce innovators, and franchise owners with education, resources, and funding to help them scale successfully.
To date, Star.Pivot.Grow., through generous donations from our partners, has awarded more than $140,000 in grant funds since 2023, created jobs, and helped entrepreneurs access more than $742,000 in capital in 2024.
